Comparing CBD Isolate vs CBD Distillate | Imperial CBD Extraction

You may feel confused by terms like "isolate," "distillate," and "full spectrum" when you try to buy your first CBD product. You may be hesitant to hit the "buy" button or may end up adding too many products to your cart, but have not worried; this post will clear up any confusion.

CBD Isolate: What Is It?

Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is extracted from hemp and is the second most common active element in cannabis. Because CBD isolation lacks the intoxicating properties of THC, it is legal in all 50 states, and it has a reputation for being safe and calming.

CBD isolate is produced by isolating cannabidiol from the hemp or cannabis plant after all other chemicals and substances have been removed. Pure CBD crystals are the byproduct of this technique.

There are three main techniques used for extraction.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) extraction is the gold standard, employing a series of pressurized chambers to concentrate and pump the gas. As a result of being subjected to such extreme conditions, the plants produce an oil rich in CBD during extraction.

Steam distillation is a method of extraction that involves the use of a distillation tank for the 'plant material' and a second, water-filled tank placed directly below it. The CBD-containing oil vapors are then extracted by boiling water and directing the resulting steam upwards into the plant material tank.

Similar to steam distillation, but using a different solvent in the second tank instead of water: solvent extraction. While this technique is more effective than steam distillation, it often includes the use of toxic solvents such as butane, alcohol, propane, olive oil, or ethanol to extract CBD.

CBD Distillate: What Is It?

In contrast, CBD distillate is an extremely pure extract that has been concentrated through distillation. CBD isolate makes up about 70–80 percent of the formula; other cannabinoids are also present. Full-spectrum refers to the presence of THC as well as other cannabinoids. CBD products sold in Florida should not include enough THC to make you high because the state legislation mandates that all products contain less than 0.3% THC. CBD distillate, in contrast to CBD isolate, which is a white, crystallized powder, is a thick, golden oil.

Pure CBD isolate can be produced from CBD distillate by subjecting it to a purification process called recrystallization.

Is CBD Isolate or CBD Distillate the Better Choice?

After hearing the distinctions, you may find yourself undecided. Isolated CBD is pure since it does not contain any of the other cannabinoids found in the distillate. As opposed to relying on a single cannabinoid's effects, the Entourage Effect ensures maximum efficacy when using full-spectrum distillate. This carousel post will provide you with some fast information regarding the Entourage Effect. Distillate is always the best option, in our opinion here at Imperial CBD Extraction. Because we know that products containing only isolate do not perform as well, we do not offer any ingestible or sublingual products that contain only isolate. Soothe Tincture is our time-tested sublingual tincture. Tinctures are convenient because of how readily the dose can be altered, and most regular users report positive effects on their sleep, mood, muscle pain, and stress levels. The CBD distillate in our Soothe Tincture makes it our least potent tincture.

However, if you're hesitant about trying something with trace levels of other cannabinoids (such THC, CBG, etc.), we suggest starting with a topical. Even though they won't be absorbed by the body, topical analgesics can quickly relieve sore, aching muscles. If you're apprehensive about trying other cannabinoids, this is an excellent place to start. If you're just starting off, we recommend trying our CBD isolate-only topical option.

How Should I Take CBD?

There are smoked, eaten, and applied options available. The benefits of CBD can be felt quickly from smoking, but it takes longer for ingestibles and topicals (which are typically used for localized pain treatment) to take effect.

You can test out each of the three variations to find the one that best suits your needs and objectives.

How is Our CBD Different?

Our hemp benefits greatly from the vicinity of the Everglades, one of the most nutrient-rich wetlands on the planet. Furthermore, the climate of South Florida for numerous harvests rather than a single harvest, and a substantial amount of rainfall permits the crops to be irrigated naturally, thereby conserving resources. Perhaps most importantly, the coastal breeze from the Atlantic adds a unique flavor that can't be found in any other farmland.

Together with the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, we conduct controlled laboratory studies to evaluate new product concepts and ensure that our customers receive the highest quality plants available. Greenhouses provide an early buffer for our young hemp plants while they develop strong and large, shielding them from potential hurricanes and other environmental risks.

Finally, our outside field is about 70 acres in size and has been farmed for decades, so the soil is extremely fertile. Hemp plants high in cannabidiol (CBD) are currently grown there exclusively.

Concluding Remarks

We suggest either the CBD Topical if you're just curious about trying CBD. Both are excellent ways to ease into the benefits of cannabidiol (CBD). Find your favorite product among many options, each with its own distinctive flavor.
